I got 20 out of 20 molds. A majority of them are makeshift homes. This is my body of work addressing my discontent for the idea of domestic life. All said and done...I'm satisfied.

Wax molds
I decided to do my special problems in making wax molds. It's a good opportunity for me to work out a few things before senior project....primarily having more variety and raw contrast while maintaining some sort of intentionality.

Printmaking
Here are a few monotypes I did on the side today. Look for figures. Some are hidden well.

In progress sculptures.
I've roughed out about what I want. It took about twenty rejected compositions. Now I just have to clean them up and tweak the composition.

Lining my cupola
I lined the second part of my cupola today. One more to go. Hopefully she pours iron to my liking.

Fresh out of the kiln
The results from the clay body I tested last firing. Im pretty satisfied with the glaze results and raw body. The addition of A small amount of red iron oxide really helped warm the body up.

Project of the day
Building Pedistals for a show downtown.
Cutting is done. Now the construction begins.
FYI you can get two Pedistals from a four by eight sheet of plywood if they are 35 x 13 with minimum waste.

Slip casting project
This is my first go at making a sculpture from a slip cast object, in this case a spray can.
I'm actually lookng forward to making another. It was quick and enjoyable.
Rejected piece
This is the only piece I had not make it into the student show. It's not my favorite but I still find it interesting.

I made sculptures out of the pots I threw yesterday. Its a pretty satisfying start. I need a few days to work out the finished pieces though.
Slabs contrasting thrown forms. (thrown forms consisting of pots and enclosed forms)

Something that interest me
Pots where the spout and base are the same width and having a bulbous shape in the middle. This is something I think I'm going to start playing with again.
Little brother account
Enjoy
